Gettin' my craft on ..
I am always browsing through crafty blogs, saving ideas, thinking, "One day I'll make that." Well I finally decided to just do it! I've had lots of fun decorating our house for Halloween. :)
Plate
I used a charger I got at after Christmas clearance for dirt cheap a couple years ago and just added some vinyl to it. I got the inspiration for this here.
Subway Art
Subway Art is super popular on the blogosphere and I finally decided to make my own. One side is for Halloween and the other is for Fall. I just used a 24x24 piece of scrap wood Colby had in the garage, cut the letters out with my cricut and mod podged 'em on.
Speciman Art
I found the ideas for this here, here & here. I cut the bats with the cricut, used some spider rings, and some squishy rats I found at Target. The shadow boxes I got from Michaels $9/3pk.
Frames
I got these dollar frames from Michaels, painted the black, roughed them up a bit with sandpaper and added embellishments. The kids love seeing their costumes from last year. :)
Floating Frames
I got this idea from my sister-in-law, Chelsea, but also found a tutorial here. I took some old frames I had, painted them white, roughed them up a bit, and used the cricut to cut some vinyl shapes. Then just hot glued the glass on and added some ribbon.
Soap Bottle
I got the idea for this here. Just primed & painted a soap bottle and added some vinyl letters & ribbon. Super easy!
